Stillborn- Who is God and Why do I Care?

Spread the love

Welcome.

Today we are talking about who is God and why do I care?

Christian is a bad word these days. Nevertheless, I am a Christian, and these principles are found in how God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit walked me through grief. In your suffering is an excellent time to see God for who He is. So, who is God, and Why do you care? God is good. God is love. God is hope. You care because He has the power to heal you, restore you, and give you a future. God changes pain into purpose. He changes sadness into rejoicing. God can transform your story from loss to gain. You may not see it, and you may not want out of your grief, but He can help you through anything if you let him.

Start with this prayer:

Holy Spirit, I ask You to show the true nature of God the Father and Jesus Christ to me. Show me love, goodness, and hope. Sharpen my mind so I may see You moving in my life. Give me a clear vision, so I do not miss the blessings God has for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

Next, it is essential to know that our misconceptions of Jesus can distort our experience of Him, and if you find that you do not see God as good or loving, I challenge you to ask God to show you His love and goodness. I guarantee He will show up. As you begin this journey to know God’s love and goodness, here are some concepts to remember:

  • God is personal. He will show up in the ways you need, which will look different for you than others.
  • God wants a partnership. God wants to partner with you to reveal Himself.
  • God can speak in many ways using anything He wants, so do not limit Him.
  • Compare what you are experiencing with the Bible.
  • God will not confuse you.
  • God will not scare you.

I wanted out of my grief. My grief felt like it may swallow me whole, and I was never coming back. It was deep and dark, and I knew I didn’t want to stay there that I couldn’t stay there. I had a wonderful five-year-old son who needed not a shadow of myself but the full, restored, healed mom he deserved.

I registered for a grief support class with my local church. I read the word and worshiped with abandon, and it was in those moments that I felt the Holy Spirit carry me through my darkest moments.

You may not another child waiting on you, but who in your life wants to see you healed?

Today’s goal: discover that God is good and God is love.

Here are some practical steps for today’s goal:

  • Memorize scripture
  • Learn God’s voice
  • Engross yourself in worship
  • Learn from a pastor
  • Talk about it with friends
  • Find sermons on God love and goodness
  • Always compare to the Bible

Here is a suggested scripture to meditate on:

Psalm 107:1 “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever!” (ESV)

Discovering God’s goodness and love will take a lifetime and then some.  This part of your journey will never end. There will always be something new to learn and understand about God. That is one of the many beautiful things about Him. Please remember that everything you experience in this lifelong journey, you need to align it with the Bible. Remember, you have an enemy of your soul, and he wants to kill, steal, and destroy you. I am praying for you.

Until next time.

I had a supernatural encounter with God‘s love after my wife passed away. I pray that everyone who reads Nicole‘s blog will also have that supernatural encounter with His love. Love changes everything
